General Information

Altenburger Music Academy ("A·M·A") as well as the courses and concerts are organized by the nonprofit association "Freunde der Claviermusik" ("Friends of Piano Music") [ZVR 699356239]. The general terms and conditions as listed below concern the courses, concerts and other events held by "A·M·A". The website's content is provided by "A·M·A" and was proved carefully. Nevertheless, the guaranty for the information's validity, accuracy, completeness and actuality is not provided. Also "A·M·A" is not liable for the content and design of the websites, to which hyperlinks link. Conflicts, which emerge from the contract or which concern its violation, liquidation or invalidity of the contract, are governed by Austrian Law only. As the place of jurisdiction, it is mutually agreed on the responsible court in Vienna. 

Copyright Law

The use of documents, graphics, photographs and other contents provided on the website is not permitted without an obtained approval of the "Friend of Piano Music". Hence implications of contraventions can turn up when defied against copyright, trademark protection act, and other intellectual property rights. 

Participation in Classes

1. Application
In order to participate at one or more courses, please send off the completely filled out application fee, which is provided on the website.
For the master classes vocals, piano, grand and the course soloists and orchestra, please add an audio-file, a CD, a DVD, a video (e.g. Youtube link), or the like, via e-mail (ama@remove-this.musique.at) or mail (Altenburger Musik Akademie, Köstlergasse 3/10, 1060 Wien) to "AMA". 

2. Costs and Payment
a. Application Fee 
€ 120,- (has to be paid once, no matter how many courses one participates in)

b. Tuition Fees 
There are no uniform tuition fees. The course fees result from the type of course and from the age of the participants. Hence the participants are divided into three sections:

A: Students until the 27th birthday (born after July 17th in 1985)
B: Students until the 31st birthday (born after July 17th in 1981)
C: Adults

c. Reductions
When booking a soloist-course until certain dates, reductions are guaranteed.

February: 25% off the application fee

March: 20% off the application fee

April: 15% off the application fee

May: 10% off the application fee

d. Extra Charges
The accommodation and the meals are not included in the tuition fee, but are provided by the Abbey of Altenburg at a favorable price.

e. Payment 
After having sent off the completely filled out application fee, soloist-course-participants have to pay the application fee not later than 4 weeks prior to the commencement. 
Application fee will be refunded in case of cancellation (by "AMA") or overbooking of the course.
Please notice, that the application fee won't be refunded in case of cancellation by the participant.
The course tuition also has to be paid not later than 4 weeks before the course begins.

3. Participation
a. Acceptance of the Application
Once the application fee arrives on our account, the application is valid.

4. Accomplishment of the course
"AMA" has the right to cancel a course in the case of a too low participation rate up to two weeks prior to the commencement. 

5. Cancellation by the participant
When canceling the application until June 21st, 50% are refunded. When canceling afterwards, the application fee will not be refunded.

6. Liability
a. (Travel-)Insurance 
The participants are recommended to conclude a travel insurance and a health insurance. The society "Friends of Piano Music" is not liable for the participant's security. 
The law for the protection of children and youth is valid for underage participants.

7. Other matters
a. Certificate of Attendance
At the end of "AMA", each participant is handed out a certificate, which confirms his or her attendance.

b. Data Protection
The association "Friends of Piano Music" and "AMA" sticks by the austrian data privacy act and hence does not share information about their participants (name, address, email-adress, telephone number ext.) to third.

2. Passive Listeners or Guest Lsiteners
1 day: € 10 (without concerts and lectures)
1 week: € 60 (inclusive concerts and lectures)
2 weeks: € 100 (inclusive concerts and lectures)

3. Reductions
For participants of "AMA" the admission to concerts is free. Pupils and students receive 50% off (on presentation of there ID and if she/he has not turned 27 yet)
10% off for Ö1-members

For all "AMA"-concerts: € 60,- (reduced: € 45,-)
