ROOMS AT THE ABBEY
As a guest at the abbey, you will stay in a listed building dating from the 18th century. The rooms are individually and simply furnished. As a monastic guest house (not a conventional hotel or guesthouse), the abbey deliberately does not provide TVs or radios. Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the grounds (quality varies due to the thickness of the historic walls).
You can choose:
EITHER “GÄSTEHAUS” (guest house)
Rooms with private bathroom/WC
• Single room: € 58 per person/night
• Double/twin room: €55 per person/night
OR “NEUES INTERNAT" (new boarding school):
Rooms with shared bathroom/WC in the hallway
• Single room: € 39 per person/night
• Twin room: € 37 per person/night
• 3-bed room: € 35 per person/night
Discount for CHILDREN:
• 7-14 years: 50% of the accommodation price
• 0-6 years: free
All prices are per person per night, excluding local tax (from 15 years: €2.60) and breakfast, subject to errors.
On request BREAKFAST in the guest house/dining room: breakfast buffet including coffee, tea, juice (from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.)
• Per person aged 13 and over: € 12.80
• 4–8 years: € 4.30
• 9–12 years: € 8.50
Can only be booked in advance for the entire stay
Accommodation must be booked directly through STIFT ALTENBURG: not through A•M•A and not through the website of the abbey (because during the A•M•A period, the rooms are reserved for A•M•A participants; furthermore, you would not receive the A•M•A discounts).

Gasthof Eisenhauer is located in Fuglau, 3 km from Altenburg, and can be reached by bus, bicycle, or carpool.

Horn is approx. 7 km away and can be reached by bus or car. Student discounts are sometimes available, please inquire for more information.
The abbey restaurant is available for lunch and dinner. In addition, carpools can be formed to dine at restaurants in the surrounding area for a change. A late breakfast can also be enjoyed at the Klosterkuchl.
In the small village of Altenburg, there is only one small shop with a very limited selection. The nearest supermarket and other shopping facilities are in the town of Horn (approx. 6 km away; accessible by bus, bicycle, or carpool).
