The abbey itself offers (1-, 2-, and 3-bed)student rooms in the guest house and in the student wing. Starting this year, accommodation can only be booked directly through Altenburg Abbey.

Horn is approx. 7 km away and can be reached by bus or car. Student discounts are sometimes available, please inquire for more information.
The abbey restaurant “Klosterkuchl” is available for lunch and dinner. In addition, carpools can be formed to dine at restaurants in the surrounding area for a change. A late breakfast can also be enjoyed at the Klosterkuchl.
In the small village of Altenburg, there is only one small shop with a very limited selection. The nearest supermarket and other shopping facilities are in the town of Horn (approx. 6 km away; accessible by bus, bicycle, or carpool).
